For years now, James Steinhoff and Jason Fabok have been working together to create projects, films, stories and now comic books. After attending school their whole lives together and building a strong friendship, the two young artists began to create works in many different fields of production. Starting in Grade 9 with a short 5 minutes fantasy film Called "Moraveous: The Rising" the two began to craft films and stories that are both different and fantastical in story. In their grade 12 year, the two began work on a project called "Chronicle Masters" which was meant to be a TV show style action/adventure series that mimicked the feel and style of Peter Jackson's "Lord of the Rings Trilogy". Two, 15 minutes episodes were created for this project. James who is an aspiring writer was asked by Jay during the summer of 2004 to come up with a short but well written comic script. James went to work and created "Of Blade and Mace" which was based upon two characters that the team thought up prior to the comic idea. The two Characters, Lao the High Elf and Dradon the Dark Elf seemed to contrast each other in look, and in race but the two characters were bonded by a goal to do good and uphold justice in their world. This created a very interesting idea and could be further developed through more stories and adventures. Jay started to storyboard and began work on August 1st on his first comic book. Jay's goal was to complete one penciled page and one coloured page a day so that he would finish the book before he started his college education. His goal was met a few weeks into September and the book was completed. The two young artists are very proud of this accomplishment and hope to continue making more comics next summer once school dies down. Jay is also looking for someone to publish his comic so he may get it out in print to many others. This is not the last you shall see of James Steinhoff and Jason Fabok!
